The Technology

DynaLiner is a PVC Thermoformed pipeline rehabilitation system. The heart of the DynaLiner system is its custom PVC compound that was developed specifically for use in pipeline rehabilitation.

One of the advantages of this revolutionary compound is its ability to allow heat to transfer through the material more quickly than other products currently on the market. The enhanced heat transfer characteristics of the DynaLiner material allows for:

  • Larger diameters (up to 36″) than other PVC Liner products on the market
  • Faster processing time
  • Greater ability of the liner to conform to pipeline irregularities
  • The ability to accommodate reasonable variations in pipeline diameter

DynaLiner is extruded in a factory in the same manner as conventional PVC Pipe, but unlike sectional pipe, DynaLiner is (while still hot) folded into either a “C” or “H” shape prior to being wrapped on a coil. The length of each coil is determined by the needs of each individual project.

Because DynaLiner is manufactured in a controlled environment and not in an uncontrolled environment such as an underground pipeline, the physical properties of the liner are verified prior to shipment not after installation. DynaLiner’s final physical properties are not affected by the installation process.

When properly installed DynaLiner provides a continuous, structural manhole-to manhole PVC pipe, which will be molded in tight conformity to the original host pipe.

Environmentally Friendly

Dynaliner is an environmentally friendly way to rehabilitate broken or leaking sewers and culverts. The manufacturing process for the Dynaliner PVC liner is completed at the factory; therefore, there are no hazardous water soluble chemicals brought to the job site.

The installation process involves heating the PVC material from a hard solid plastic to a flexible state then cooling it back to hard solid state. This process is a physical change not a chemical change. Because no chemical reaction is taking place during installation, Dynaliner contains no volatile monomers such as styrene (which is water soluble) to leak from the process into the ground water or streams and no noxious off-gassing to pollute the air and nauseate the local population.

Dynaliner is suitable for use in environmentally sensitive areas. It has been installed in the Red Legged Frog habitat in Samuel B. Taylor park in Marin County California. The state of California required a chemical free pipe-liner.
